RACE #4 - RISE ABOVE SUNRISE UPDATES

VENUE LOCATION AND DETAILS For those of you that have never been to this venue it is a wonderful park in South Florida. This park, which is located in Sunrise, FL, has just over 10 miles of trails of varying degrees of difficulty. There isn't a lot of change in elevation, but the terrain changes frequently from classic singletrack, to rock gardens, to fast flowy berms, or steep technical climbs and descents. So it is sure to be a challenging, fun race for all. The Address for the venue is 16001 W. State Rd. 84, Sunrise, FL 33326. There is a $1.50 per person fee per day to get into the park and there is a gate at the entrance where this fee will be collected.

All registered coaches and student-athletes that will be riding the trails at Markham Park on both Saturday for pre-ride and then Sunday for the race MUST complete the Broward County MTB Waiver and watch a short video to ride the trails. Please print the form, fill out and return to Jackie at the Registration Tent (you can leave the HH# blank). We will have a few extra copies on site but please attempt to print and complete prior to arriving.

3. PRE-RIDE will begin at 1:30pm. We ask ALL team members to be in our team tent no later than 1pm on Saturday to begin warming up, receive your race plates, and get last minute instructions.

4. TEAM DINNER ON SATURDAY! The Lang Family will be hosting the last team dinner at our camper from 5:30-8pm. This is a great opportunity for camaraderie and getting a solid pre-race meal. Families are welcome to attend but we need an RSVP for proper planning. Please RSVP by Wednesday May 3rd via this link! Exact directions will be given out at pre-ride. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TS6FBM5

5. WE NEED HELP! Our team requires some support to help our riders and families have a great weekend. Check out the signup link for our "team only" volunteer spots. SING UP HERE: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B4EABA722A4FD0-tarpon4

6. We strongly encourage everyone on the team to be present the entire day on Sunday. It provides an opportunity for proper warm ups, team building, cheering on your team mates, and awards. Please be at the team tent no later than 8:15am Sunday. Here is the Sunday schedule:

*** NOTE - this will be a shorter, more technical course course - lap counts are back to the original count. The course is around 4 miles with 50’ of elevation gain per lap.

GET ALL THE DETAILS FOR THE WEEKEND VIA THE RACE INFO FLYER HERE

Families and guests are welcome to hang out in our team tent area. We ask that chairs are setup mindfully as to not block traffic flow and team needs. Remember - the primary function of the tent is to support the athletes and coaches. If you are coming to spectate, support, etc.... please consider bringing your own folding chairs, fans, water, and a cooler with food and snacks for the day.

Reminder - you must have a race plate to ride the course for any reason. Anyone on a bike must be wearing a helmet....parents, students, siblings, guests, etc....

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting event!!!!! Can't wait to see you all there! 💖
